So while I was on Home Decorators Collection this past weekend; changing our address so I'll continue to get catalogs and stalking potential new sideboards for the dining room - I noticed they had lighting. I never even realized they had lighting fixtures, or thought to check - but boy am I glad I did, because I found the most perfect of perfect lights for our drab entry way.
It's the Capri Pendant:

PS - how fabulous is that cobblestone looking rug in that bottom picture? Where can I get one of those?
After at least a month of searching, finding this light was a ray of sunshine on an otherwise cloudy, bleak day (it's been nothing but rain, rain, and more rain lately in New England, can you tell?). I literally felt the clouds part when I found this beauty - it was everything I was looking for and then some. Nice clear, clean lines, simple design, a touch of industrial mixed with modern - perfect. I know, it's just basically a glass jar with a bulb in it hung from a chain - sad how long it took me to find it, right? It reminds me of the Industrial Bulb pendant at West Elm that I've had a crush on for a long time, but the shape and size of the Capri pendant works much better in our space.
I also got a great deal on the fixture - I had a coupon for 15% off, and there is a special running for free shipping, so in the end, it only cost us around $126.00. Not too shabby, especially after a recent trip to a lighting store, where the only fixture I liked cost upwards of $800. At first I thought we wouldn't receive the light until August (according to the stock status listed on the site) - but this morning I got an email that it is on its way! Stay tuned for some before and after pics when it arrives!
