Happy Second Anniversary!

10/31/11

I can't believe how fast 2 years of marriage have flown by. And to think that in a couple more months, it will be 7 years that Mike and I have been together. I don't think I've ever even kept a cat that long.

Every day as I drive to work, I inevitably mutter, "I can't believe it's only Tuesday (or Wednesday, Thursday, etc.)." Each day seems to drag on eternally, trapped behind a desk or a Volvo in traffic. When I finally make it home, it's like someone switched me over from soak to the spin cycle. I work on stationery orders, then attempt to sneak in some treasured couch-potato time with Mike (unless he's working on hanging-the-new-garage-door-openers-time), and then it's already time for bed.

Life can go by in a blur and all I try to do is grab a hold of little moments and hang on for dear life. What I've realized, more and more, is I want those little moments to be bigger moments, and my resolution for this upcoming year is to start putting plans in place to make that happen.

I've also resolved for us to go on a fantastic vacation in the upcoming year ahead - somewhere we've never been before that we can discover together. And to grow the business even further, possibly by expanding into new printing techniques. Of course, this list is in no particular order :)

Happy Halloween everyone - today, is a day for ghosts and ghouls, candy and costumes. But it is also a day of reflection, when we look back on the all-to-short summer and prepare for the impending winter. It is the Day of the Dead, so take a moment to remember those who are no longer with us, hold the hand of someone you love, and capture your own little moment!
