Folks, I'm so excited to include Real Weddings as a part of the Wicked Bride blog! First up, Morgan and Dave, who had an amazing Boston wedding with a bold black and white color palette.

| The bride looks out the window of the Ames Hotel, Boston |
The bride wore a modern dress with a classic silhouette by Watters. My favorite detail is the black sash which has just the right amount of bling to add a graphic pop.

| Beautiful monochromatic bouquet with splashes of black |
 |
| Wedding party in white |
I love wedding parties all in white.
Kate Middleton did it. The only direction from the bride was to, "find a white or ivory dress you felt comfortable in." Style and comfort? Doesn't get any better.
 |

The groomsmen received similar instructions and bought black suits from various retailers. The only requirement? It had to be fitted. They do cut a nice clean line, don't they? Sharp.

A program and tissue were placed on every guest seat at the ceremony.
Morgan's dad walked her down the aisle to Canon in D played on the piano.
|
The ceremony took place just before sundown in front of the large windows of the State Room so that guests could watch the city skyline go from day to night as all the lights began to flicker on.
Morgan and Dave wrote their own vows, making them meaningful and personal, as was the theme for the entire day. They wanted to really feel what they were saying rather that just recite the typical wedding vows. The couple was successful - there wasn't a dry eye in the house. While Morgan paused to fight her tears, all you could hear was their guests opening up their tissue packets. The bride says, "
It was beautiful and perfect in every way."
 |
| Before the ceremony, the couple ran down to Faneuil Hall which was lit up with lights for the holiday season |
 |
| The tables were layered with ivory linens and votives everywhere gave the reception room a soft glow |
 |
| The bride's father regaled their guests with funny stories, making a very memorable (and hilarious!) evening |
Gorgeous, right? So what's your favorite detail? Too hard to pick, right? I love the monochromatic floral arrangements (
big fan, obviously) and that dress - ruffles, ruffles, and more ruffles!
Thank you Morgan & Dave for sharing your amazing day with us, and for agreeing to be my very first Real Weddings couple!

Beautiful wedding! I love their invitations (of course) and the dress with black sash is beautiful. The photography is also excellent!
ReplyDeleteI know, I love the black & white - it's so classic. I'm especially enamored with that black and white bow tie. I wonder if I could get Mike into one of those...
